Zzish is a fast-growth UK Edtech venture who are rapidly expanding into global markets, with over 300,000 US teachers signed up to their platform and government-level contracts in South East Asia. Their product helps teachers personalise learning in real-time by giving teachers instant insight into student learning gaps, then recommending the best resources to help them progress. Impact is already promising, with a 22% reduction in the student attainment gap caused by socioeconomic disadvantages and an 8-10% improvement in benchmarked test scores for middle school science.
The founders are: Daisy, an Edtech entrepreneur with a commercial background in fast-growth tech ventures and Charles, Google’s first technical hire outside the US – a Cambridge University Engineer with an Oxford PHD in AI.
With 6x growth in both user acquisition and activity in the last 12 months, Zzish is fundraising a £1m pre-series A round to service demand and capitalise on this traction in the US and Asia. 60% of this round has already been committed in follow-on investment.
