Chinese Takeover of Taiwan: An Existential Threat to the West

Office Hours 17 December

This week in Office Hours we have a contribution from a long standing member. Last week was going to be out last meeting of 2021 but, as we do we, a conversation started which we did not have time to finish. We added one more meeting to this year’s schedule.

The global shortage of chips has caused significant disruption in the global economy. Office Hours, in a discussion led by Dr Tomaz Slivnik will explore the questions: How dependent is the world economy on Taiwan? What could be the consequences for the world if the situation in the Taiwan strait were to worsen? What can we do to prepare?

The discussion will be based on Dr Slivnik’s recent post at Zoomingin TV
